Dying Professor’s Last Speech Condensed on Oprah

Randy Pausch is a professor at Carnegie Mellon University. He has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and was told that he had less than six months to live. The University has a tradition where professors are asked to give a speech as if it were their last. What would they pass along to their student’s if this were the last time they could address them.

Randy’s speech touches on childhood dreams and the important of ‘living right’. It was such a hit that ABC News did a story on him, his speech has been viewed nearly 3 million times on YouTube and finally, he was asked to give a condensed version of his speech on Oprah.

This is the knowledge that he chose to pass along. It is ten minutes long but if that isn’t enough you can view the whole 1:16:00 speech on YouTube.
